about the Targets in The Hampton Roads area of Virginia, but here in TX everyone seems to be on top of things. I used to date a girl in NN and that's not such a "low-tech" place not to have systems 'til Spring, so it's just a little odd that you say they wouldn't have any until that time.
A/W I'm glad to be back in the Lone Star State, and I've had a day to visit my local Targets, CompUSA's, EBGames, BBuys and Circuit City's to pick everyone's brain. I make it a point...
Sometimes genius is disguised by spontaneous decisions and eccentric logic to perpetuate those decisions and ideas. And sometimes "geniuses" get locked into padded rooms with no windows, until someone figures out what the hell is wrong with them.
Under $100.00 for a system? Miyamoto, are you feeling ok man?
I heard about the $15,000.00 fiasco / joke this a.m. on the radio. Couldn't beleive my ears at first, but after the loony tunes I witnessed the morning / night of launch -- I thought it might not totally be out of the question.
I mean their were a fair share of guys driving around in their candy -lacquered whips fanning around all kinds of benjamins like setsuke's fan adjusting their Prada's and all that. They made ridiculous offers to people in the line and a couple of them br...
It's not a joke and I have thought about it.
As a matter of fact I factually typed what was said between myself and the manger at EBGames, today. You MS fans are unbelievable. But I must give you all credit. News4Gamers has the most elite PlayStation and Sony haters on the Planet. Don't you guys ever meet in a room and just salivate over fps's all day?
When are you guys gonna give it up? I could care less what Sony says. It's a huge company bringing bran...
Never.
Looks like there might be a scintilla of truth to this. When I called my EB games where I have a "60" reserved, the manager seemed a little more than confident that I should have my unit by Friday 24th, since I'm next in line. Either way I'm happy since I've got my 20 already, but the 60 is what I really want to check out up close and personal. =]
I stated "in line since Monday night." I was in line since Wednesday night. Sorry -- tired as hell.
Been in line since Monday night and I'm not even in my home state. It was quite lively. I've never met sooooo many interesting people in a parking lot in my life. As you all know I'm from TX, but waited in line at a very large Best Buy in Missouri (been working on a project here since July). It was f##kn freezin' and the grouping of tents and wild-out vehicles and gamers of all ilk, was surreal. I felt like Slim Thug or the Deftones were gonna break out on a makeshift stage anytime for t...
Aren't you coming down a little hard on Comp? I mean if you're into hi-fidelity gaming (and let's admit gaming is rapidly becoming an expensive hobby, even for wii owners)--and if you've got the cash -- walking out with a 40" wega or w/e, a 20gig game/blu-ray player for $2,300 isn't that rotten of a deal at all. Now only if they threw in the HDMI cables.
The dude loves Sony. What's so bad about that?
Looks like the P3 is a machine made with a lot of software updates in its future. Oh, well as long as they keep up the support I'll be happy.
I'd like to have full GT functionality on the system, but it looks like it will glitch up -- this is the one thing that I'm a little sad about, but guess I'll just jam on the P2 until HD comes out. On the other hand the DVD playback upgrade is somewhat dissapointing too; however, I'm looking forward to building my BR library. I would be remissed if I didn't mention that sony will continue to provide software downloadable updates to fix these problems (like the Ace Combat / SOCOM patch). And...
I think Sony's new philosophy is to just tear up the damn playbook and start over. All of this free-range applicability's got me feelin' a little giddy (sorry)! Unbuntu --- woo-hoo! But how about Windows Pro!? This is the perfect excuse for me to tell my wife why I need to take the P3 on all business trips instead of the vaio. If only there was a built in printer. heh-heh
For the double post guys.
You knew the world's second largest consumer electronics maker was gonna "git 'er done" one way or another huh? Looks like Sony is finally getting its act together -- and its good to see other firms trying to pitch in and help them out too.
I saw this story posted earlier this morning, but thought it's worth noting again simply from a GREAT STORY standpoint. If it's up -- sorry for the double - post.
A/W -- this is so awesome. Not having to delete large gobs of files from the HD. Plus you can front load many of the games that you play over and over without any regard for space (to a certain degree). But since the 2.5" SATA's are what they're playing with here -- that's huge --at least up to 250 GB. I don...
Bro. You are going OFF.
I didn't know Bill Gates said that stuff about our own schools. Maybe he should just move to India or China since he seems to love them so much. What a retard.
Early reports on the "CellStation" as you call it are looking exceptionally good. If only they could find a way to make more of them, faster......hmmm....that's the key.
How gaming outsiders & "non-hardcores" view the three different systems? I think it's quite interesting.
but I've been playing resistance guys for I dunno how many hours like a kid from the 50's playing with a new train set. I'm sure playing on this particular telly doesn't hurt either -- let's just say it's very nice and oh yeah this game is rock'n the walls tonite.
Thankfully I have no close neighbors or the cops would've been here a long time ago. I suppose it might sound like the shootout from "Heat" outside on a perpetual loop. Prolly doesn't help that I ke...
